Does one need an extended shell holder to load 9MM luger with RCBS dies and a Rockchucker press?

In a word... no.
Standard shell holder runs up to the base of the die right?

I don't have dies yet, but in looking for dies I saw extended shell holder, thus the question.

Thanks for response

The extended shell holder will reduse the "stroke" when loading short pistol cases. nice to have but you don't need it.

You should be ok without one.

I've loaded a lot of 9mm with RCBS carbide dies in a Rockchucker and you can adjust the die to size all you need.

If you are shooting these 9mm in an aftermarket barrel, in particular a Lone Wolf barrel.....................that is a different sad story.
