Anybody have any good loads? I'm shooting a Model 94 carbine (20" barrel). Powders I have that might work are 3031, H335, and Varget. I'm currently loading 34 grains of 3031 with a Speer 170 grain. What does everyone else use?

I used to load the same load you are using, 34 gr. of 3031. 3031 is about the most useful powder in the .32 Spec. I also tried RE 7, and it gave me some very accurate results, but at lower velocities. Never worked up a faster load with RE 7.

I'm using 36.0 gr. of W748 and the Speer 170gr. bullet in this cartridge. I tried IMR4064 and BL-C2 in it also, but it wasn't as accurate.

The first "deer rifle" I had (and still do, along with the Lee Loader I bought in 1966) was a circa 1913 M1894 32Spl. I have been using 31.0grs of IMR4895 with 170gr Hornadys ever since.

Yes, NoCal, aren't we lucky? I,m about an hour and a half from Oregon on the coast in the Emerald Triangle region. Just got back from Modoc Co. shootin' ground squirrels. Visited some gun shops in K-Falls. 10 dollar fee and you're out the door with the gun. But not if you're from Ca. Stopped in at a Big5 today, they had Turks on sale for 49.95. Was gonna buy it until I noticed that the fees now add up to $20.00. I said screw 'em (the State). I really didn't need the rifle, but the point being I just didn't want to give the bastards any more money than I have to. And it aint goin to get any better. There's a reason they call this part of the country the "Left Coast". Bastards.
