To McWilliams217: your email doesnt work. Anyway: I should have checked first, but Im not far off: Trim lenght acc to Vihtavuori: 61.80 mm Speer: 2.431" = 61.75 mm. I checked Lapua, PMP and Norma cases: I would recommend 61.75 mm, as 61.80 is not reached by all cases ( at firing and consequent resizing this eventually will be different ). I did not order the trim gauge up to now, as I first wanted to measure Lapua, Norma and PMP cases, as to be sure, that ( after sizing ) all cases would be cut to the shortest case lenght. Also I wanted a LEE factory crimp die. For this I have to send a bullet seated in an empty case. I am still wondering, how to do both simultaneously ... Perhaps use an already shorter case and seat that bullet. But at the moment I am more inclined to hunt with that rifle, I think I will start reloading and consequently ordering in those long Winter nights. I sure wish LEE, who made enough of both items in 9.3x62 would sell them according to their experiences, I am willing to pay the "custom" price, but want to have less hassle. Have fun! Hermann

Ahunter It's worth the wait. If you can bear the price order a full length die from them. It's made to the dimensions of your fired case and is excellent. Like you say I wish they would make it from stock.

Yes, they will make the trim lenght gauge and the factory crimp die, but they want trim lenght ( although in a mail to me, they said they did several already, ) and they want one bullet seated in an empty, resized case. Hell, they dont need those things for a 06 ?? My problem is, I cant furnish a trimmed case with a seated bullet, if I want to order those two items at the same time. I sent them a mail, will keep you posted, usually Lee is quick in answering questions. Good shooting! Hermann

Another thing, I prefer to consider Lapua data, European and connected to other European producers, 61,80mm. By my opinion they are one of the best company, with hight quality products. It is always possible lightly alterate the gauge lenght. bye

Steve, there is much truth in this. I am only tempted to use 61.75 mm as it will even out all cases, even new ones. But as I have 100 rounds of ammo (and no dies yet), all cases will be fired and sized before trimming, so perhaps I should order 61.80 mm. I sure wish Lee would give away their experiences what is most commonly ordered. Any posters with experiences? 1894, Ive never heard of that possibility before. Do they then make a seater die, too, or shall I order that one from RCBS or some seater with sliding sleeve, to improve concenticity? Thanks, Hermann

I another perplexity, and it is why you ordered the dies to Lee. I have RCBS, and even if I do not love particularly the company they work well and is possible to have them without particulars troubles. This in spite of my appreciation for Lee. Anyway the best target results, that I had, have been done with 293GRS TUG bullet, 55/56grains of Vithavuory N135 Powder and Lapua Cases and Federal LrGold match primers. bye
