Just picked up a lb of VV N110 and thought my reloading books had some data listed for the little cals like 204, 223, 22-250 and 243, but alas thye don't. Anyone have any data for this powder in the little stuff, or is the 22 hornet usually used?

N110 is a pistol/shotgun powder. Far too fast for any cartridge in your list...

pointblank is correct. N110 is primarily used in magnum pistol loads. I have the latest Viht. manual and here is what they say about N110:

This is the fastest burning rifle powder from Vihtavuori with similar uses to Hodgdon H110 and Winchester 296. N110 can be used in small rifle cases like .22 Hornet and .30 Carbine, also in magnum pistol and revolver cartridges, for example, .357 S&W Magnum, .41 Magnum, .44 Magnum, .454 Casull and .500 S&W.

Out of the cartridges you listed, the manual only has data for the .22 Hornet. If you want that data, let me know as I would be happy to pass it on.

That is what I was thinking too. After I bought it, I realized I should have been in the N130 to N160 range. I'll probably return it, if I can, or trade it to someone who can use it. Anyone near the Springs or Denver that would like this powder? I noticed they had N160 and N530, which I could use in some other cartridges.

I also picked up a Lb of N133, W748 and 2 lbs of TAC. They also had some Accurate powder but nothing I use. I kinda hit the jackpot today with the powder! Now, to just find primers!
Thanks,

Graybird

N110 is in the same range as W296, H110, SR4759 and Alliant 2400. The manufacturer recommends it for heavy handgun and reduced rifle loads.

There are some in their load manual, also in the German DEVA and in the H&N cast bullet manuals.

I shoot a lot of .222 Rem with 13 grain N110 and currently a 45 grain bullet on the target range and at the running boar, velocity is around 820 m/s if I remember well, closer to real hunting loads than it's original speed of 970 m/s.

A hunting friend of mine uses N110 in his 50 caliber Savage muzzleloader--the model that allows the use of smokeless powder--it gives really fast sabot loads.

I have a pound of VV N110.

I tried it in an overload work up of many powders for 7.62x25mm with 110 gr bullets.
Only 13 gr of N110 will fit, and makes no great power.

H110/W296 is a black ball powder.
N110 is a green stick powder.
