| The load that I've been using for years is 8.5 grains of Unique topped with a 125 grain bullet. It's hotter than a .38+P and not as punishing in a small gun like a max-load .357. |

| I found herco to be of good use along with red dot.
The best I use was ALcan N0.7 great vel no flash but that was a while ago. I did pick up a 5lb can of it a a gun show. It real does IMHO make the best 357 125gr load. |

| I like Unique. 2400 leaves too much unburned powder. Use Unique and don't worry about a little velocity loss no more so than the loss for the short barrel--not gonna be using it at 1000 yds. Unique will be fine. Close range perps wont know the difference. |

| another vote for herco. if you get the 2400 up into it's pressure zone with good neck tension and a good brisance primer it will burn clean. anyways aa#9 will burn clean in lower pressure than 2400 will. |
