When I chamber a round the brass is being cut into about 1/8" above the belt. The brass is only once fired and has been full length resized. Not all the cases chamber this way though. Any suggestions? I do not think that the loads are too hot. Could it be that I am sizing the shoulder to far down it be a headspacing problem, I'm not sure. This is the first batch of brass I've used in this gun. Any suggestions would be a big help. Thanks

You may have a headspace problem, or your loads may be too hot or both.

When you say they are once-fired, do you mean in YOUR rifle? And have you tried backing off the sizing die and sizing only until the action closes easily?

Without more details of cut into and this is only a guess, if this is crf, the round may not be completely behind the extractor until this point and is being pinched against a sharp edge on the chamber at which time it snaps into correct position. Very slowly chamber a round and watch and feel it catch. Remove it and see if brass has been peeled up on the case. Magic marker might also help to see it better. 375 headspaces on the belt so i can't see a problem there. Hope this helps.

I agree with bigholes (what a moniker!) Likely a feeding thing. My M70 hangs up sometimes on the ramp or chamber lip. Check your ramp as suggested and check your mag box just for the heck of it. I don't think what you describe is a headspace issue, but some M70 375s seem to have a slightly big chamber.

It might be a sharp edge on the start of the chamber....is this a custom rifle or custom chamber?

This is custom rifle built by Roger Biesen, and I haven't had any problems with Winchester brass in the past, but when I went to buy more all midway had was remington brass, I've bought some Norma brass for the rifle and it has cured the problem.
