I'm just impatient and won't be able to check these figures at home for another two hours, so... could one of you crunch these numbers and give me recoil velocity and recoil energy, please?

Rifle weight: 10.5 pounds

Caliber: .338

Bullet weight: 215 grains

Powder charge weight: 100 grains

Muzzle velocity: 3200 FPS

To anyone who can satisfy my impatience in this matter on Christmas Eve, "thank you."

I guess I will have to grab you by the toes Russell with a pair of my pliers to get your attention hey [Razz]

I take it you are looking a 338-Lapua?

My 338Ultra with a 210 Barnes XLC bullet only got me 3160fps with the 100 grains of H1000 powder.

Loaded with a 250 grain bullet to MAX it was a real brusier on the shoulder and chops. Model 70 Winchester wood stock. [Big Grin]
