What are your favorite loads for this round? I have been trying IMR 4350 and my best grouping is at the lowest charge listed in the Barnes manual. According to the manual this only gives me somewhere in the neighborhood of 2,500 fps. I would like more velocity, but the same accuracy.

Thanks.

Had pretty decent luck with RL19 and H4831SC. I don't have velocity measurements for those powders though. I can tell that several critters in Namibia didn't care exactly how fast those bullets were traveling. Wink

The best groups my .338 WM shoots are with IMR 4350 71 gr. and 225 gr. TSX's. Most days it will shoot .38" to .70". Muzzle velocity is in the 2850 fps. range.

My 338 shoots either the TSX 225 or the Accubond 225 very well with 75 gr RL19. Tried others but the groups were noticeably better with the RL19. RL22 for 250 grain bullets and IMR4831 for 210 gr bullets.

I went to the range yesterday and tried several different RL 19 loads. The sweet spot for my rifle appears to be 71 gr. I don't use a chrono, but this should put me right around 2,800 fps.

Thanks again for the help. I'm going to load 60 rounds this morning to take to Namibia in May.
