Where is run out usually measured?
When run out is checked, is it usually done at one or more points? Why? Like at a point on the bullet 1/8" past the end of the case, on the bore dia, on the groovedia, bullet tip, center of the neck, end of neck, neck/shoulder junction, shoulder/body junction, head, and or rim? TIA

If you check your case at the neck before you load then again, for the most part, anywhere on the bullet.

We Americans were tired of being thought of as dumb, by the rest of the world. So we went to the polls in November 2008 and removed all doubt.....let's not do it again in 2012 please.

lonniemike,

I've been checking mine about 3/16" or 1/4" ahead of the case on the +.25 cals and alittle closer on the smaller cals, it seems to work well.
