What size for sizing mandrel?

On the mandrel that sizes the neck portion of the brass, what diameter should this be for a .224 caliber bullet? Should it be .001 or .002 inch smaller for bullet grip?

Are you talking about an expander mandrel? As in necking up to a larger caliber.

Agree on .002, when .001 was too loose for me on a Lee neck-size mandrell for my 6.5x55. I ordered the smaller one from Lee for $5.
