What is the recommended overall loaded cartrige length for a .338 RUM? I have a .300 win mag in a Sako AV that I would like rebarreled for .338 RUM and need to know if the cartrige will fit in my magazine.
Any help would be appreciated.

I believe it's 3.600". I load my loads in a Rem. 700 to about 3.660". Hope that helps, Joe.

I asked Nosler and the reloading tech said that 3.600 was the longest OAL they tested at...I've found that it may be a tad too long for my Ultra...doesn't like to eject live rounds when I'm in a hurry. Maybe I need a stiffer ejector spring????? Accurate as all hell though
