I was wondering how many people had actually chronographed the Barnes TSX in 375H&H? Theses bullets have been out for a while and I would be interested in sharing, learning from others experience with this bullet and what velocity they were able to achieve. Please share your loads! I'm very interested in the 270gr TSX. Best Regards, Enigma

I started out using H4895 with the 270 grain TSX for my 375H&H...I use this powder in my 458 Lott and since Barnes had it listed in their data I gave it a try. I worked up a loads to (chornographed) 2720 fps, 80 degree temps +/-, this was out of my 25" barrel CZ 550. Accuracy was exceptional. I have taken a Zebra (225+/- yards), two Heartabeast (120 and 200+/- yards), and Impala (200+/-) yards all one shot kills...all bullets exited. I do not have my data handy but if I remeber correctly the load I used was 1 grain less than the max. listed for the standard "X".

Thanks jjs for sharing the info. I have some RL-15 and H4350 right now... Wondering if anyone uses H4350 with 270gr bullets and have any luck?

Enigma, I have a .375 Taylor which is almost a ballistic twin of the .375 H and H. While working up loads, I tried 4064, H4350, AA2520, and RE-15. RE-15 gave the best accuracy, but I got slightly better velocity with the AA2520 (2800 fps). I've settled on 270g TSX and RE-15 for my hunt loads....around 2750fps. You should try any of the medium burn rate powders, including Varget and H414, in addition to those listed above. I've had very good luck with the RE powders....
