My buddy has a 7WSM that we are having problems getting enough neck tension on. Some of his bullets will fall out if upside down or settle into the brass while in his ammo case. Using rcbs competition dies, and two different brass, some federal and not sure of the other brand. We called rcbs and they sent a different size bushing and I can not say it worked any better. Should try different size bushings or does anybody else have another idea?

I'm not familiar with that style of die. Does it have an expander ball?

Yes it does have an expander ball. I was wondering if maybe the darn thing is just undersized

The right size bushing will depend upon the thickness of your neck brass, which will vary between manufacturers and lot numbers.

Measure the outside diameter of a loaded round (where the bullet is secure) and subtract .003" for bushing size. Throw the expander away.

If you don't have a loaded round where the bullet is secure in the neck, then measure and subtract .004" for bushing size. Did I mention throw the expander away? Deprime with a universal deprimer, they are cheap
