Does anyone know the equivelency of primers? For example Rem 9 1/2, WLR, Federal, CCI etc. Alot of recipes call for Rem primers, but they are hard to find some times. Can you subsitute one for the other? I have read that some are hotter, but would like some opinions. Thanks

Normally if substituting reloading components, drop down 10% and rework the load....the most popular primers appear to be WLR, F210 and CCI200 when loading Large rifle type primers. But, as with anything, we all have out favorites and humble opinions....SB

There's a chart on www.castingstuff.com that ranks primers, BUT I would still drop the load 10% when changing and work back up. The chart would give near equivalents as a starting point.
