graybirdIMR 4895 or H335?
I need to order powder since it looks as though the local stores wont have any in the near future.
I will be loading mainly for the 204 with this powder. But, I'll also be loading a few 223, 22-250, 243 and 7-08.
Therefore, if you were about to purchase 8 lbs of the above powders, which would you buy?
I have not shot either of these powders yet. I have some loads made up. Went to the range this morning and it was closed, so I can't atest to the accuracy of either powder with the loads I made.
I also have loads made up for AA2520, Benchmark, BL-C(2), W748 and Varget. At the moment these powders are not available, as we all know.
I'm doing this because I have a prairie dog hunt scheduled for next month and need to get to work on some ammo!!!!
Thanks,

graybirdJust checked Graf's and didn't see that H335 was in stock, but I could have overlooked it.
I did find another supplier that has Varget 8# available.
So, guess there are three choices now!

tnekkccMy main 223 was more accurate with 4895 than H335, so I did the 4895, but the 200 yard groups were way higher on the target with H335. The H335 a the velocity powder.
Now that my main 223 is different, I should go back and see if I can get the accuracy out of H335.
