Which load has most recoil?This data is off the hogdon website.
235gr spr sp
H414 83.0gr.max for 2749fps..42,600 CUP
or
235gr spr sp
H4895 74.0gr.max for 2895fps...50,400 CUP

Not knowing any thing really technical, more of a practical hands on approach...

Ive shot 225gr Hornady with 74 gr 2206H and they are easy shooting, also the Federal 270 gr factory ammo is not to bad, something else too, depends on your rifle, how heavy,stock design etc, how you personally handle recoil as well.

Its all numbers on paper, the true recoil test is when you squeeze that trigger.

It is a 375 ya shooting,its all good!!! Big Grin

The recoil should be based upon the weight of the bullet and the powder charge This would indicate that it might be quite difficult to tell which load was giving the greater percieved recoil. But my guess is that the snappier load will feel a bit more aggressive, and probably more accurate too!

www.handloads.com has a recoil calculator. Enter the required data and get an answer.
