| There's lot of opinions.....I've never read the kind of data that confirms any of the opinions. I conclude that there's little difference....

| I guess they look nicer, but my experimenting hasn't shown any brass to be better than another. Of course the cases should be from 1 lot and reasonably matched. Other than that, any brand groups the same for me, and group is all I care about. I mostly buy Winchester virgin brass. the exceptin is for my 30-06 and there, well, it will be some time before I run out of gumint Lake City lot 12521. Most uniform brass I've ever seen! By the way, it groups about as well as anything I can load.
Put your nose to the grindstone, your belly to the ground, and your shoulder to the wheel. Now try to work in that position!

| Hello, I just answered a similar post regarding Lapua and can tell you that I tried 100 of the Norma in 308 and paid a fortune for it and it was very, very soft and the primer pockets gone after couple firings. No more for me. Either Lapua or Lake City in 308. I have a truck load of new LC and doubt that I ever have to buy any more brass the rest of my life. That is a good thing!! Favor Center!! dsiteman |

| I have found that Norma brass is on the soft side. I would rate brass in the following order. 1. RWS 2. Lapua 3. Winchester 4. Norma 5. Remington

| Norma brass weighs more and requires you to reduce your loads appropriately. If you don't, then your pressures will go over max and your primer pockets will become loose after a few firings.
In my experience Norma brass produces rounds with less runout. For example, Remington brass has as much as .008" but Norma no more than .004" runout. Some people don't care, but I do.
Some bags of Remington brass have a 7 grain variation in weight. Norma, on the other hand, has a weight variation of 1-2 grains.
It is better, and my guns shoot smaller groups with it. |

| I'm in there w/ bigbull. RWS & Laoua make very fien brass. I think Norma is abit on the soft side, at least in .280 & 06. I've had good luck w/ RP as well.

I completely agree with you. I think that RWS is the finest brass possibly ever made.

| I've reloaded my Norma 458 lott brass about 6 times so far.Compared to Hornady 458 lott brass it requires much less effort on the resizing press and primer pockets stay tight. It seems as if this brass barely expands when firing.I guess I will be able to get many more reloads with Norma. As far as accuracy,I have not noticed any difference versus Hornady. The thing I do not like about Norma is that it will not hold a crimped bullet or a bullet as tight without a crimp as the Hornady brass. This is very importatant as I do not want my rds to come apart on a hunt or have the bullets push in because of recoil. |
