I don't know how the first post got in there. But I know you use mostly Remington cases. Do you usually start out using a Remington primer or do you have another favorite starting primer and then check out some more later on?

Oh, I use other cases other than Remington. However, when I buy cases generally I order 2000 of the same lot number, and I have found that it is easier to get Remington cases, and they generally arrive in better condition (lately).

As for primers, yes, I always start with Remington primers when working-up loads. After I find a "good" load, I then switch to Winchester, CCI, and Federal with that load to see if there is any improvement.

At last count the preferred primers were:
Remington 12,435
Winchester 8,198
Federal 5,589
CCI 3,900
