I have an 8 pound jug of powder called :Surplus Powder for 30-06 M2 Ball Ammunition, It says that it is a military surplus powder ideal for 06 ,270 and 300,& 7MM's. I have used it befor but in a move I lost the loading data that I had for my 25-06 . Anyone have any idea on how much to use in a 25-06 or what is the equivelant modern powder to this stuff so I can have a place to start. THANKS

I bought 8lbs of "M-2 Ball Powder" from River Valley Ordinance 10-12 years ago, still got a couple pounds left. The data that came with it shows this for the 25-06: 75gr SP 58.5gr 100gr SP 54.1gr 117gr SP 51.9gr I'm guessing but I think it's close to BLC-2.

I bought the same stuff around the same time. Basically you use BLC2 data minus 10% as your start loads. Adjust as pressure signs permit. NRA LIFE MEMBER You can trust the government. Look how well they took care of the American Indian...
