7MM-08 GOOD LOAD

just got done loading my grandson some 7-08 shot very well. SAVAGE-11, Rem. brass, 140 GR. Sierra spbt, 46.0 grs of H380, S&B LR primer.. 100 YARDS was about .880 when i loaded this load i had no idea how it was gonna shoot..

the load i shoot in my 7-08 consist of 42 grains of IMR4064 or RL-15, WLR primer, shoots well also..

That should be a good load. I've loaded same case, bullet and primer with 43-44 grains of either IMR4064 or IMR4320. Maximum loads but good case life and no over pressure signs. Currently loading Sierra 140gr or 139gr SST with 42 grains Varget or W748. Also load Sierra 120gr with 45 grains Varget for just over 3000fps, this is a nice load to shoot, recoil down on the 140gr, and very accurate.
