I think we have posted some of these before, but I will post them all again here anyway.
We used Remington brass and the Federal 215 primers in all our loads. Over all loaded cartridge length was 3.600.
All groups are 3 ahots at 100 yards, using a 4.4-14 X Leupold scope.

Arild.
I do not have any 250 grain bullets.
I am shooting the 300 Sierra MK right now, and as soon as I am through, will post the data.

Our Barnes X are the old uncoated ones.
rejpelly,
My stock list shows we have some Sierra 250 grain bullets, but I do not seem to be able to find them.
We will look for them, and if we do have them we will shoot them.

Thanks! I've been waiting on this one for a long time. Please post your comments on this cartridge.
We are getting some good results with the Barnes X 250 grain bullet wnd H1000.
I should have everything done within the next day or two.

The rifle is a standard Remington 700 with a blued barrel. I changed the stock and put it in an H-S Precision stock, put a Leupold 4.5-14 Scope on it and left it at that.
The boys here refuse to shoot anything with a case larger than a 30-06, so I am afraid I have to do all the shooting myself. And as usually work in the workshop in a T-shirt and a pair of shorts, I have put 2 PAST recoil pads together with velcro, and use them while shooting.
Shooting rifles with classic stocks does not seems to bother me so much.
Shooting some of the German made rifles with factory stocks seems to really give a good whack, especially on the cheek.
It is not bad at all shooting these rifles in our lab. I normally load 3 rounds, shoot them, load another 3 rounds, wait for the barrel to cool, then shoot again.

Just curious as to what kind of accuracy you are getting out of your Remington?
Thanks,
Telly
Helpful hint if you haven't tried it. Froget the PAST pads. Put 10 pounds of lead shot in a heavy duty canvas bag, and connect it to the fron sling mount with about 1" of slack. Place a 25 bag of #8 ro #9 lead shot between your shoulder and the butt...
You can shoo 460 Weatherbys all day long from a bench, and not have any regrets...
Now, two questions...how are the Sierra 300 grain tests coming, and how would you rate the .338 RUM against the other .338's? (.338-416, .338 Lapua, etc.)
All the above loads are shot in the Remington 700 I mentioned.
I have finished load development on this one. Now I have to put all the data in the computer and posted it.

I have compiled all the data, then found that I did not have an HTML software on my new computer - some of you migh remember we had an HD crash a while back. And I do not seem to be able to find my copy of Frontpage.
It seems to have followed the example of many things here - developed legs and walked away!
I asked one of the boys here to buy a new version of Frontpage, which he kindly did. But, following my instructions to the letter - he said I told him to "pick the latest version of Frontpage and buy it."
He brought me an Arabic version!
He promised to change it this evening, and hopefully I will have all the details posted by late tommorow.
Please accept my appologies for the delay.

Thanks for the data. How does V-165 compare to V-N560 in your experience? I haven't tried the 165 but really like the 560.
Thanks again
The 165 is slower than the 560. Ther are about like comparing Reloader 19 and 22 according to the book.
More data has been added for this one.
