Being the miser that I am I don't want to shoot up this box of bullets on load development. So from this list of powders that I have in stock, which offers the best potential accuracy and MV in a 20" barrel? Not looking to buy a new powder at this point either. IMR-4895, IMR-4064, IMR-4350, IMR-4831

I use Ramshot Hunter in my 243 Win with the 80 gr TTSX and get 3415 fps with superb on game performance. If I were restricted to your list of powders, I'd likely start with IMR-4350. Good luck! Graybird "Make no mistake, it's not revenge he's after ... it's the reckoning."

Thanks, I see Ramshot Hunter is close to IMR4831 on the burn rate chart. Ken Waters in his Pet Loads recommended IMR4064 for bullets <90 gr. I've been loading IMR4350 with some 90 gr and 85 gr bullets. Still searching for a good load. But that's the fun of it.

I use IMR-4350 exclusively in my wife's .243 with the 80 gr TTSX, exceptionally accurate and drops pigs and whitetails quickly. Also use the same load for a PH friend in SA where he uses it on Jackals in a custom .243. Karl Evans

I tried 4064 and 4350 because I had a lot of both. I never could get either to shoot well in my rifle. I finally tried CFE223 and it gave great accuracy and velocity. Of the powders you listed, 4064 and 4350:are the two classic 243 powders. Use enough gun... Shoot 'till it's dead, especially if it bites.
