Re: What auto powder dispenser?
I have used the new Lyman 1200 for a year and a half and have had no problems. It does take a 30 min warm up but that is no big deal for me. It is fast and accurate and easier to clean. It is not sensitive to drafts and even if it were there is a draft cover incorporated in the unit. It is much better than my PACT unit.

I also use the lyman auto scale. it is right on every time. I checked it against my rcbs 505 and it never chainged once! IT IS FASTER! you don"t have to have a powder measure,or a trickler! All you have to do is get 3 loads ahead then you can start seating bullets. Trust me,you can"t go wrong!!!

I have owned and used them all including the Lyman Autoscale, RCBS digital scale and dispencer, and the Lyman 1200. At present I use two Autoscales each setup with a powder I shoot hundreds of rounds with and don't change, and the Lyman 1200 that I change powders in regularly. In my opinion there is no comparison, load enough rounds and you will see where I am coming from. Good shooting.

I don't use an auto powder dispenser, but have drooled over this one a time or two...but my wallet isn't deep enough

Well I see Rube Goldberg is alive and well!

I've had the pact,(old model), for a couple 3 years now. It's fast enough, sure beats hand trickling. I changed my loading proceedure once I got the dispensor. Now I wait to prime before beginning the set up for charging powder. Hit the dispense button, pick up a case and primer, prime it,by then the powder charge is ready. Dump the powder in the case, seat the bullet, then prime the next case. That takes up the time needed for the next charge to dispense. I have no intention of getting the upgrade done.
