Just aquired a box of 154gr. SST for my 7mag. I do not have any load data on this bullet using IMR7828, H4831, and RL22. Is it safe to use the data for 150gr. in the sierra manual? The local gun store dosnt have any Hornady ones at the momment. Can anbody help me here on some Min. and Max. loads for these powders and the 154 sst's

And, what are some experiences with this bullet? performance on game, and at the range. What are good powders to use that i do not have? I plan on hunting whitetails and black Bear at close to mid ranges (50-200yds) Any help is greatly appreciated Ryan

Ive had great results with the basic 154gr. on deer & goat. Performance on the animal should be the same and the bullet traj. should improve.
I just ordered a box of the 154gr. SST to load for a friend in his 7mm rem mag and would be interested in how they work out for you.
Let us know.

Well fellas, I worked up some loads with H4831 and the 154 sst's first because of it being my best powder so far for the 7mm. I worked up till i got to 61gr. I went to the range yesterday and was supprised..the further i went up, the more accurate my gun got. I went up in 1 grain incraments. With 61gr. I shot a 3 shot group all touching in a clover type pattern. I was very pleased. Tonight after school I am going to work up some loads with RL22 and try them out. In years past, i havent been able to get Rl22 to work well in my gun. H4831 seems to be the best powder for my gun. according to the Hornady manual, 61gr. is max, but i did not get any sign of pressure, and the primer was normal. Is it safe to maby cut to .5gr incraments and go a little further? Also, what kind of velocities should i expect from the charge? I do not have a chrono yet, but hopefull will get one maby this spring. Regards Ryan
