I'm simply suggesting that when you organize a group get together that lots of people bring lots of different assuptions into the mix.

When it's mixed with guns there needs to be a clear understanding about what the procedures will be.

I have a different set of safety procedures when I'm shooting with one or two friends than I have when shooting with a group of a dozen or more . . . most of whom have never shot with me before.

45nut,

That's a long one day trip for a shoot in the middle of the week but I'm going to see how my schedule looks at work and try to make it out. If it was the weekend, it would make it a lot easier. But it looks like you won't have any shortage of participants.
Maybe you could set something up for this spring or summer? Stay in contact, I'll need some pointers when I get moved over there. [Wink] - Sheister

Calm down there friend we don't need to start fighting over something like that thats what my buddies on the reservation use to say about prineville. Us estern Oregonians need to stick together and calling me a democrat that was a shot below the belt just because I'm not no radical burrying my rifles all over the grasslands cause U.N is coming to take our weapons and also thinking the U.N is practicing night Ops at the madras airfield I'm just a good American serving my nation and I consider myself a Moderate republican thank you. I hope all you enjoy your shooting event and don't shoot one another cause everyone knows what a horrible hospital you have there in Prineville. Again I'm from Madras, Oregon and I'm not a troll when I get back up there this spring I will call you on your challenge I will have my 6.5-284 with my 6.5x20 Leupold VII trust me I'm a prtty good shot when there isn't deer involved. By the way my name is John and you probably know some of my friends I will throw one out there his name is Wayne Short?

OK John,
Sometimes it's hard to read humor between the lines posted on a typed page. Sorry for calling you a democrat also,It was a low blow and it was intended that way :_). However since you have stated in a public forum that you are republican I shall withdraw the statement. I hope it was just the fur in your scope that made you miss your shots, cuz' you'll need to hold steady to have a chance against my T/C. BTW I agree completley about the sorry excuse for a medical facilty here, actually I distrust most medical "Practioners" And Attorneys "at law"
are a sorry lot I hope to avoid if possible.
I have only resided here for 9 years so I hardly know everybody and to boot since I moved here the population has nearly doubled.
Post here when you are coming back up this way and we shall put lead to paper. 45nut

A voice from Veneta---Just noticed this thread and am not able to make your shoot--Glad to see all you folks from Oregon. I have lived all my 51 years in Oregon--in places like: Greenleaf, Triangle Lake, Siletz, Glide, Steamboat, Disston, Veneta, etc. I am a YHEC coach for muzzleloader rifles, and (beam!!) my daughter was YHEC Oregon Junior Girls Champion in 2002.We shoot, hunt, and fish. I work in social services, and am beginning to discover others in my field who are consevatives--BIG surprise!!! All the crap you folks talk about (speaking politically) did not really exist in much of Oregon when I was young--the advertised "quality of life" imported these problems. But like anywhere, it is largely an issue of city-folks who haven't a clue about rural life dictating to the minority living in rural areas. I think that we have gotten way carried away with our power to control.....Chuck
