I'm working on a 49.5g load with 4831sc Lapua brass, Fed 210 primer, 142M.K. velocity 2700fps
group for five shots .300.

I'm not too thrilled with the velocity #'s with this load but it is accurate.

I have read that RE22 works well with this caliber, any givers.

Good old regular IMR 4831 and or R22 work very well for me, and in my 28" barrell I am able to exceed 3000 ft/sec's and original accuracy was similiar or better than what you quote for 5 shot 100 yard groups. Accuracy to 1500 yards was amazing. Also the Berger 140 VLD's were the most accurate and flew the flatest to the extreme ranges. Every rifle is different and my rifle is a Rem 700 short action with a Hart 1 in 9 twist, long throat for the big bullets. Though I seat to about +.005 engagement. Also I am using Winchester brass that has been turned for my tight neck chamber.

Sako 308 how much powder are you burning with the R22, what primer.

I just purchased 1 lb RE22 the grains are very small, what case capacity are you at with RE22.

The pressure signs were high with 4031sc, 50.5g with the ogive on the lands>????

SD, I'm sorry but not at home/reloading bench so I can't access that immediately. However I would say that you want to work up to a sensible maximum and hope that your barrel/rifle will produce it's best with this combination. Re: AA-4350, while it was stellar for accuracy I had some temperature and pressure spikes which IMR 4831 and R22 avoided with velocity being 100 ft/sec's faster. Work with the rifle, it's the best way to know what you got. Mine ain't yours and vice versa.
