Please help me, my father is using double rifle in 7x65R and I would like to reload for him some heavy loads for wildboards, deers and other big european animals please advice what to use. I am using 6,5x55SE and I use bullets and brass from Lapua. Lapua does not produce 7mm at all so please advice.

Lyman makes dies, as well as Hornady and RCBS.

Thank you I was searching for dies till now only by lee because it is common here in our stores. I will probably buy RCBS with neck sizing, I have it for 6,5x55 and it works well. Thank you also for the reloading data.

RCBS certainly has dies for the 7x65R:

Category D Dies

On this page there is more information - shell holder etc etc:

Die Reference

Obviously, you can buy all these dies on-line, if nowhere else, then on the RCBS site, shopping page.

RCBS on-line store

The RCBS site will probably not be the cheapest option around. Problem is whether any of the other reloading on-line distributors have 7x65R dies - or are willing to get them?? Both Natchez and Midsouth came up empty when I tried. Try a Google search for "7x65R dies"... You might hit pay-dirt.

Good luck - mike

Ah, Hornady also offers 7x65 dies - "specialty die series - #544314".

Call 1-800-338-3220 for more information - the webpage does not seem too informative, but here it is:

Hornady Product Page

You have to click on "Rifle Dies" link on this page...

I would recommend you use a premium 175-grain bullet for boar and Hirsch, preferably the Nosler Partition, the Barnes X, or the new Nosler Accuracy Bonded bullets.

Try IMR 4350 and H4350 powders for accuracy.

these seem to be the best of the ones I have been trying.

What rifle are you loading for? some break actions require modest pressures, while some designs are able to approach 280 Remington loads, which are about 5=10% Hotter.

You can use 280 Remington loads if you start well below maximums.

Thanks all of you,
At this moment I am thinking about RCBS dies, Barnes X bullets and 4350 I am already using for heavy loads for 6,5x55SE so I have no problem. Anyway if you have some good hunting loads please write them.

Thanks,

Fox
