I'm considering building a 9.3x57 sporter. My first choice action for the build is an intermediate length Mauser with a magazine box length of 3.115 inches. In checking several sources for the 9.3x57 maximum cartridge overall length I have found the following:
AmmoGuide says 3.189 inches
Cart. of the World says 3.23 inches
Norma says 3.094 inches

As far as I can tell, Norma is the only source of factory ammo in this chambering. Norma's website loading data lists Max COAL's with its various bullets as being from 2.933 inches to 3.012 inches.

Can anyone provide the CIP Max COAL spec for the 9.3x57?

Any other thoughts or advice appreciated.

From the VihtaVuori 3rd edition;

Max COL: 81.00 mm/3.189"
Max case OAL: 56.8 mm/2.236"

The cartridge according to the manual IS NOT supported by either SAAMI or CIP. The figures were decided by comparing chambers and cartridges of various makes.
