A friend of mine at work was talking to me about an uncle that had a rifle chambered for the 257 Roberts necked down to .22. I've never heard of this caliber. Don't realy know anything about the 257 Roberts either. Not much is known about the rifle, just the chambering, was looking for any information about it.

224 Clark is design to shoot very heavy bullet in 224 cal ( in the 80 gr range ) there is another cartridge name 22/6Rem ( closely same as 22/257 ) but 6 REM handle more pressure as 257 Roberts
this cartridge is able to give you velovity in the mach IV with light bullet ( check if bullet doesnt blast at the muzzle as Speer TNT .

I doesn t use a 22/257 or a 22/6 REM but a 22/243 Midd( lapua brass )

maximum case capcity is the 22/270 WIN but that a more difficult caliber to tune even ifperformance are amazing .

good shooting
