I am looking to obtain a couple of 9.3x62 cases. Anyone know where a guy can buy a case or two for measurement, etc? Read of somewhere one could by pcs. of brass but don't recall where or who.. I have a .338-06 with a lousy chamber. A cast of the chamber showed the base diameter (not head dia)to be .474"-.475". Since that is right at 9.3x6w2 dimension I am wondering about making brass from 9.3 stuff as an alternative to rechambering.

I show the 9.3x62 to have a head of .47 and 2.441oal. A 338-06 is .473 and 2.494. Your brass would be short and head smaller. You wanting a larger head or smaller. I use norma brass for most of my wildcats. While much of my other brands of 06 based brass measures in the .466-.467 range my norma 280 brass measures .471-.472 As usual just my $.02 Paul K

Don,t have any virgin brass, but if you,d like, I could send you a couple pieces of 9.3x62 brass. One Lapua, one Hornady. Privi makes brass, think Nosler does as well. Having gone through a CZ chamber or an RCBS die, don,t know if it will do you any good or not. Let me know..

Don, 9,3 brass made from 30-06 does show that 9,3 is a bit bigger in the head than 30-06. I can probably find a few pieces of new PRVI 9,3 brass of you need that. As muttly said ... let me know.
