I shoot a 6.5 x 300 Wby. I load 85g of H870, a 140g NP w/ a Fed 215. 3300 fps. No pressure signs. Shoots very well.

I have no experience with the cartridge.

I have loaded for the .264 Win Mag and would assume that the 6.5 RUM would like similar slow burners like US-869, H-870, etc...

On the Hodgdon powder website they have data for the 7mm RUM with US-869, I would think it would be a good starting point. You can call them as well and talk with a ballistician.....

WOW!! 6.5RUM. Now thats overbore! I use RL25 and Retumbo in my RUM rifles with great results. Granted I'm shooting 300RUM and 338RUM.
