I would appreciate getting information from anyone who has worked up loads for the 300gr TSX. I have a Kreiger barrel on a custom rifle. Also has anyone tried Vihtavouri 540 and if so where can you find it? Thanks in advance. MMP

In my rifle, 76.0 gr of IMR 4350 with Federal 215M Primers delivers very tight groups with the 300 gr TSX at approx 2500 fps.

I have not trie V-540. Follow proper procedures and work up to this.

Good Luck,

Bill

I've tried RL15 and Win 748 with the 300 grainers in my CZ550. So far, the 270 TSXs are grouping better than the 300s for me. But RL15 and Win748 both gave decent results with the 300 grain TSX with the Win748 groups being a bit better than the RL15.

If the 300 grainers don't work for you, try the 270s.

I have an M70 SS Classic in .375 H&H. 68.0 gr of RL-15 on Rem brass with WLR primers gives me 2604 fps and about 1 moa groups. Plenty good to hunt with.

I think this rifle may be a bit tighter than most.

I loaded this bullet with Vihta N140 for a friend who shot several buffaloes with it, among other animals. Used the Vihta factory recommendation. He was quite satisfied, precise and killed well.

I have a bullet he recovered from one of the buffaloes, perfectly mushroomed like in the ads.

I'll second that one. It's so accurate I'm not even tempted to try anything else.

The Vihta N140 loads for that bullet were 64 grain and should, according to their manual, result in 2400 fps.
