I can't seem to find any max load info for H4350 in my manuals (they are a little older) and on Hodgdon's website, they don't list an 85gr bullet in their load data. I need to know what the max load is for H4350 and a 85 gr bullet (Nosler Ballistic Tip specifically) in a 25-06. Can anyone help me out in a pinch?
Thank you!
Simon

The latest Nosler Manual (5th Edition) does not list H4350 for their 85 gr bullet.

They do list IMR 4350, and they list the max load as 53.5 grs producing 3,450 fps from a 24 in barrel in a 25-06.

The list the starting load for IMR 4350 as being 49.5 grs producing 3175 fps. This load is also listed as being the most accurate in their tests of IMR 4350.

Barstooler,
i have run into the very same problem, i can't find a manual that lists H4350. I have seen IMR-4350 listed on several occasions but not the Hodgdon variety. Thanks for the info!

Ricciardelli,

i have run across his website before but i was unsure as to credibility of the loads listed. In an effort to be safe, i have avoided the loads for the most part unless they fall within what my manuals have said were safe. 58.0 grains seems to be an extremely high max load for an 85 gr. bullet but hey, what do I know? I wouldn't start out there but it just seemed high to me. Have you used his data and if so, has it turned out ok?
Thanks,
Ruck

Ruck ricciadelli = steves pages!!! It is his web site. Of course, you might wna to ask him where he got his data from if you can't find it in any manuals.

Well, you see, it's like this...

ALL the data on stevespages is actual data obtained by me at my reloading and shooting benches.

Ruck, Have to say that Steve Riccardelli aka Steve Pages has been a big help to many of us. Always work up to max. loads even if the source is reload manual. My .25-06 usually is 1.5 to 2.0 grains under max loads from any source.
