When flaring/belling case mouth for bullet seating, do you just do enough to get bullet started or do you flare the whole length the bullet will be inside the case? | ||

Just enough to get the bullet started. Too much expansion will shorten the life of your brass. Tom Z NRA Life Member | |||

If you flare it that far, the case won't fit in the sizing die. If the bullet starts, it's enough. LIFE IS NOT A SPECTATOR'S SPORT! | |||

We were all rookies once...don't sweat it.. When I bell a 30/30 case or a 444, I have the die adjusted so that you can barely tell it has been belled at all... looking closely you can see it... All is well, Made up three different loads for 45 colt, unique, universal, and trailboss. To dark to shoot now , but tomorrow... Oh, I am loving this already. Thanks to all on the forum. I'm sure more questions will follow. -The Rookie- | |||
