I cannot find any load data for the 69 gr. HPBT for my 5.56mm (.223) using H4198. Can anyone here shed some light on where to begin? I have read that some have had some success with H4198 in .223 for lighter bullets. But, nothing for the 69 gr HPBT.

Any guidance would be appreciated. I purchased some H4198 a year ago for some 55 gr. bullets but, went right to a heavier bullet for my 1-9 twist rifle.

Thank you

No data for H4198 with a 69gr that i can find. Seems the powder is to fast for that bullet weight. Sierra lists IMR 4198 with a 69gr here, but not the same powder. Listed under a bolt action.http://accurateshooter.net/Dow...sierra223rembolt.pdf

Over the years I have shot up a few kegs of 4198 I wouldn't use it for that weight of bullet.

Thank you both for your replies. It seems that until I load up more 55 gr. bullets, I have the beeter part of a lb. can of H4198 in storage.

Happy New Year!
