Optik1 A word of caution. I have had several 358 Norma rifles and there is a wide variety of throats (freebore) from one rifle to another. This can result in max charges of powder varying as much as 3 to 4 grs from one rifle to another. Also you have not indicated what bullet weight you would like to use. Another word of caution here. Many 358 cal bullets are intended for cartridges like the 358 Win and 35 Whelan/ 350 Rem while some are intended for 35 Rem velocities. You load those bullets to max velocities in the Norma and the bullets come apart when they hit something resulting in poor penetration on larger game and lots of meat destroyed. I have found only a few bullets really hold up at 358 Norma max loads. The 225 gr Barnes TSX is very good. Swift A-frames are very good and Nosler Partitions in 225 or 250 gr. What are planning on using ??

I plan on shooting a Nosler ballistic tip 225 grain bullet. I shoot this bullet in both a Wheland and a 358 sta. I was just very curious because I saw people writing that superformance powder works a well in the 358 Norma and I was curious if anybody had any load data for that. Thanks for the concern! Optik1

OK I have not used Superformance in the 358 Norma. What I have found is that RL 17 & 225 gr bullets are hard to beat accuracy and velocity wise.
