I just started reloading a few months ago, and am still learning the tricks. I've got some GI magazines for the AR-15 that won't accept the bullet OAL of 2.260. I had to go down to 2.245. Is this normal?

I`m sure others here are much more knowagable on this then me, but when you are loading for a 5.56 or 7.62 Nato there are minor differences in the cartridge compared to the commercial versions. The COL may well be one of them. ------------------------------------ The trouble with the Internet is that it's replacing masturbation as a leisure activity. ~Patrick Murray "Why shouldn`t truth be stranger then fiction? Sometimes it's the magazine, and sometimes it's the ammunition. Good practice with loading for your own AR is to load -.010 below the doesn't fit length. Member NRA, SCI- Life #358 28+ years now! DRSS, double owner-shooter since 1983, O/U .30-06 Browning Continental set.
