Looking for advice on reloading data for my new 7x57 CZ 550 American rifle. Western Colorado deer and Elk are the game to be hunted, one load prefered.

In my 7X57 I use 49 grains of AA4350 under a 160 grain Speer spitzer and a standard primer for approximatly 2700 fps. Shoots very good and will do most hunting chores.

Last year I killed several head of game with a 150gr swift scirocco.
This loaded behind a VERY HOT load of 49gr of H-414. This combination was very accurate and produced about 2800fps in my Ruger.
This year I am going to shoot the 140gr Barnes XLC.
I still feel like a trator for re-barrelling my 7X57 to 7-08, now im nothing more than a mainstream yuppy.

Good one!! [Smile]

I've re-done two 7x57's to other calibers (280 and 280AI), and, aside from nostalgia, have no complaints. If it's going in a long action, then I want long action performance.

Am I the only guy who had trouble with 7x57 brass stretching relentlessly? Seemed like all I ever did was trim [Frown]

When I WAS loading the 7x57, I liked the 160 Speer Mag-Tip over as much H4831 as I could get in there. Didn't have a chrony then, so, can't postulate on velocity, but the accuracy was pretty good.
