Who makes a good set up to measure run out? I usually get a decent group of 4 shots with 1 falling out. I don't know if you could call it a flyer or not, but it looks out of place with the others. If I can check run out, that would eliminate one variable.

I use one made by Sinclair Int but RCBS and NESCO make one. You might check with Shooters Corner they carry a lot of used equipment and have these from time to time. They are called concentricty guages and cost about $75.00 with the dial indicator. To find shooters corner go to www.benchrest.com and look in the vendor adds. Larry

I have a sinclair. I like it. RCBS makes em. The NECO is the cadilac but little big and awkward on a cluttered reloading bench. I have found mild loads that shoot well and then when I started pushing the envelope, I would get flyers. But then when I started separating out that ammo, they seem to go away too. Just another tool to achieve good accuacy.

A/C: Shoot four groups of four and you will see, that the socalled 'flyer' is no flyer at all. It will disappear in the whole group of 16. When runout is no more than say .004", don't worry either. I use a Bersintool, it works! www.kinneman.com.

A/C guy, You can get a RCBS Case Master from Midway for less than 70. It does several other things besides run-out measurements. I find the Case Master to be quite simple to use and very easy to change from one cart. to the next. Good Luck Reloader
