I have an Interarms Virginian Dragoon SA revolver that I would like to hunt with. I want to use the 250 grain Winchester Partition Golds in it but am unsure of the strength of the gun. Can it handle this load? What about the ultra heavyweights from Garrett, Buffalo Bore, etc.? Thanks.

Do not consider it as strong as the Ruger! Consider it as just another Italian/Spanish/Brazilian copy of the old Colt.

This pistol was built as a .44 Magnum, correct? Wasn't it made in Germany? If it was originally made as a .44 Magnum, it should handle any commercially available .44 Magnum ammo.
