I picked up a Ruger Super Redhawk in 454 recently. I wanted to use my heavy Colt loads in it but have no need for the power or behavior of the Casull level charges.
One thing I noticed was that the published heavy Colt stuff exceeds some starting loads for the 45 WM. Naturally, the 45 WM stops short of the 454 stuff.
With the Colt case being a wee bit longer than the 45 WM, would it be safe to load modern 45 Colt brass (I have lots of Star Line) to 45 WM levels for use in my SRH?
