I would think twice about the Norma brass. Maybe I was just unlucky, but the 280 brass I got from them was POOR. Mixed range pickup brass could have been no worse in terms of uniformity. Also, amost all the necks were .002 - .005 out of true.

Definately NOT what I had expected for more than triple the price of Winchester or Remington.

If it was me, I'd buy the Winchester.

Had expansion problems with Norma brass-loose primers after 4-5 reloads. Switched to WW, no problem. Lapua and WW are harder alloy than Norma. Actually saw one guy shooting factory loaded Norma ammo that primers fell out, about 15%, during a Long Range match.

That's disgusting! Eeker
Doesn't Norma make Weatherby brass? Wonder why the two would be so different?

I guess the Norma stuff must vary quite a bit-- I bought 200 cases (at the same time) in 300 WSM, 270WSM, and 270 win. It has all been very good, consistency very high, and it is all proving to be durable in terms of multiple reloadings and lack of fatigue being apparent.

Maybe buying a bunch at the same time I just got lucky with good lots or whatever, just wanted to let it be known that it can be good.

Having said that, I don't know that it is any better than WW, that's what I load the majority of the time and it seems to be as good as anything else I've used--including Lapua.

Good Luck--Don

Ditto! I've gotten 3 seperate 100 round boxes of the Norma 300 WSM brass. ALL have been better than the crap that winchester calls brass! Before that, I had gotten 2 50 round bags of new winchester, I had 2 from 1 and 1 from another that had cracked necks!
