A couple questions about some of the newer Alliant powders. I have used RL17 and RL23 but have been unable to find any RL16 & RL 26 until now. I have the 2018 Alliant and there really isn't much data for either rl 16 or rl 26. There is some RL 26 data for the 270 WSM that looks promising.
Has anyone used RL16 or RL26 with good performance and accuracy ? Any comparisons in loads between RL15 & RL 16. Would appreciate any comments you can share about your experience with these powders.

I have not used any of these newer powders, but go to the Alliant website at http://www.alliantpowder.com/products/rifle.aspx and click on whatever powder interests you. On the screen that comes up click on "view all (this powder) recipes" which will show you all data with every cartridge Alliant has developed for that powder.

The printed guide that I have is the same data that is on-line. I was hoping there was some personal experience out there.

I tried some R26 in my 270WSM and my brothers 28 Nosler. I got better accuracy with R22 and Retumbo in my 270 WSM. My brothers 28 Nosler did not like R26 at all. It likes H1000 and Retumbo.

I found some data for RL16 over on the 6.5 Creedmoor forum that shows 40-43.3 gr for a 140 gr bullet.
I haven't had a chance to use it yet but have some loaded to try.

Going to try for my 358 Norma.

Shot some more 65gr RL26 loads for 30/06
with 165gr bullets. Think I,d change that
load max. to 64gr of RL26. Always start low and work up for your rifle.

I've used RL26 in a 300wm and the velocity has been very fast. 3200fps with a 180AB.
I've tried several nodes but can't seem to find the sweet spot for accuracy and the ES hasn't been consistent in my rifle.
