Help! I am new to reloading and have myself set up with a Lee press and dies. For the most part everything has gone fine but when setting up the neck sixing die for my 30-06,I followed every direction and it crushed 3 cases. The full length sizing die is fine and the neck sizer for my .223 work fine. Any idea what I could be doing wrong?

fisherhahn,

Welcome to the forum.

I am not familiar with the Lee dies, but would suspect your problem might be due to the position of the expander button.

Try setting the button at different hights, and see what happens.

Is this a Collet die?? If yes, and if the cases come out with a collapsed shoulder, the collet is closed. This apparently can happen if you use the die without a case to be sized - i.e. let the press compress the collet without a case. The die instruction set has an explanation and a remedy - something like take the die apart (easy), and pry open the collet with a punch (or something).
