My dad has a Ruger M77 in 450 Marlin (done by opening the bolt face diamater).

He is looking for some loading info for the 450 Marlin. He is also looking for info for the 458 American. He wants to see if he can use some of the 458 info to push his 450 a little faster.

Thanks,

Hodgdon's has some data on their website. Just remember that the data is intended for the marlin lever gun and will be less than 42,000 psi.

JLHeard. Find a copy of Frank Barnes CARTRIDGES OF THE WORLD. He developed the .458x2 in. American, and he has the data posted there.

JLHeard,
The April issue of Handloader magazine has a section on the .450 Marlin. If you can't find a copy I can fax you a copy.
