No it isn't but the way you ask the question stating you want to be able to shoot without any hearing protection eliminates everything but a supressor which is also a muzzlebrake. Most muzzlebrakes significantly increase the loudness of the gun-shot and the only one that doesn't, that I have any experience with, is the origianl Vais brake that George no longer can make. Did a good job of reducing recoil with only a very modest increase in noise.

Using suppressors will spoil you in a hurry. With a .223 you hear the supersonic wave of compressed air as it passes by. One of the neat things for military use is that the bad guy thinks the bullet is coming from where the bullet is actually going. Same applies to coyotes and cats. If you miss they might start running toward you. Machine guns are undeniably fun, but the novelty wears off after spending hours at the Dillon for just a few minutes of bangedy bang bang bang.... The more you shoot with your suppressors the more you are thinking "this is soooooo nice". Also you can buy 5 suppressors (with tax stamps) for the price of one beater UZI. An M-16 costs as much as a nice new 470 NE double rifle. When the crappy little piece of metal called the auto sear finally gives out, you are S.O.L. The moral of the story is: "Buy as many suppressors as you want. Don't worry, they'll make more." JCN

There is only one quiet muzzle brake. It is called a suppressor. You asked a question, we answered it. You then call us a nasty name. Why would anyone on this forum ever answer another question that you ask? After such churlish behavior, why would anyone be interested in anything you might ever post? JCN
