I'm looking for some load data for the 375 H&H using a 300gr Sierra and RE15...

I'm using FED & REM brass... WLRM primers

I have a published load for RE15 but it uses the 300gr Hornady...

The load I'm using right now is 63.5gr of RE15 behind the 300gr Sierra. Anyone with suggestions as to the max safe load using such powder?

Thanks,

Maurice

P.S. My cases extract well, no loose primer pockets after 4 reloads but primers seem to be a tad flat at 63.5gr of RE15... COAL=3.590 / Max in my gun is around 3.820 (WIN70 Classic Stainless)

Published load data are not recipes, they are only guidelines. Changing a bullet from Sierra to Hornady is not a problem as long as you start low and work back up. Only "Your" rifle can tell you what will be a safe max with any powder/ bullet combo.

Treating load data as an absolute (recipe) would require every component to be exactly the same as the ones used to produce said data. That would mean same powder & lot #, same brass & lot#, etc. etc. even the exact same firearm or test chamber would have to be used. We know this is impossible so the best we can do is gather as much data as we can and "start low and work up" watching for signs of high pressure along the way.
