I have 50 cases of Lapua 220 Russian brass, and am about to begin forming it.

I understand I can just run it straight through the 6PPC die, but do I need to fireform afterwards?

Thank.

Yes you will need to fireform. You may also need to neckturn depending on your chamber. A couple of ppc fireforming tips... use Federal primers (soft) and make sure you seat your bullets long enough to firmly engage the lands. Here is a link that might be of some help to you... http://www.benchrest.com/FAQ/2.1.shtml ...ol blue

Yes, you need to fireform, and unless you have your chamber neck reamed to LARGER THAN SAAMI specs, you WILL need to turn the necks. Sized Lapua brass is just a hair thicker than the standard factory neck. HTH, Dutch.
