I can only suggest you data coming from Quickload 3.3 software, that should be treated with caution. Let me know which 400 gr. Barnes bullet you plan to use.

Thanks Wildboar
I'm planning on using the TSX 400gr and banded solids.

Johann, you might be able to get some reload data from Barnes and then use this with a burn rate chart such as this one from GS Custom which has Somchem powders in it, to work up some loads for you 416 Rem. Be sure to take into account that burn rate charts are fairly approximate so double check the info if possible, DON'T use GS customs own data, their bullets load a bit different to others by the look of them. Work your loads up using sensible load development methods. Sorry if I'm stating the obvious. Smiler
Steve.

The best suited Somchem powder SEEMS to be the S355; you SHOULD get good load density.

Quickload 3.3 suggests for the 400 TSX: Min. 66 - Max. 70 grains. As for the B. Solids: Min. 69 - Max. 73 grains

These are software-generated data, that are, IMO, quite accurate, but should be treated with caution. Let us know the results.
