Tried it with 140gr sierras, ok results but Varget and RL15 worked better for me. Might give it a shot with heavier bullets though sometime.

Varget for me too so far, but H4350's next. Looking forward to some good answers, though...

FBF, I've not tried H4350, only IMR4350 and 760, both gave acceptable results from a Savage that now is owned by brother-in-law, 1-1&1/2" groups, with my 700S/S, I've been getting much better results with Varget & RE15, though I'm shooting 150NBTs and MKs, my Sierra data shows an accuracy load of 39.6grs. RE15 and a hunting load of 45.7grs. IMR4350 for their 140gr. bullet, 48grs. of H4350(max in the Hodgdon manual) may give you the most velocity, but, RE15 or Varget should give you better accuracy with the 140 Barnes, suppose it won't hurt to try the H4350, maybe about 46grs. might be an accurate load. BTW, what primer are you using? I like Rem or CCI standard primers. Jay
PS. I know, I'm no help at all.

In the past I've tried H380, H414, IMR4350, Varget, IMR4895 and H4895 in my 700 Ti 22" barrel. Everything but Varget gave good accuracy but H414 gave the best accuracy/velosity combination (2889fps 140 TSX). IMR 4350 was really strange in that the velosity maxed out in the 2600 fps range with max (but not compressed) loads.

After reading last month's Handloader, I decided to try the recommended H4350. I have been very please with the early results. My once fired cases (Winchester)have a case capacity of 49.1 grains with a Barnes 140 TSX seated to a COL of 2.775 (that seems to be my magic COL for this gun). I started at 45 grains and worked up in 1/2 grain increments. A three shot group of 48.5 grains of H4350 averaged 2812 fps and right at 1" MOA (5-10 mph wind).

A three shot group with Hornady 140 SST and 48.8 grains of H4350 showed the same velosity (different case lot) and accuracy.

I plan on working up each load a little bit to see effects on velosity/accuracy but will probably not get into much compression. I have a couple of loads of 49.5 grains with each bullet that I'll check for 'growth' just to see.

Anybody else have experience with H4350 in the 7mm-08?

I have been handloading the 7MM-08 for about 10 years or so. I have tried everything from 3031 to imr 4831. The best velocity with accurace I get now is 44 grains of RL-15 with WLR or CCI-250 at 2955 with a 140 sierra B.T. with 3/4 to 1in at 100 meters. From a 24 in. rem.

Varget has always been my goto powder for the 7-08. H-4895 is a close second. Primers are Winchester WLR. The cci was too eratic for my tastes. They werent consistant velocity and pressure wise. Switched to the winchester and she settled down. Probably could have even done better with the federal 210M, but I was very pleased with the consistancy i got from the winchester primers.

I'm using CCI 200 primers. I plan to try some RL15 (just bought my father some for his 220 Swift).

I don't know why I can't get the Varget to work, spent quite a bit of time trying different loads but nothing would shoot under 1.5" @ 100 yards.
